Problem Statement

In adherence to the directives issued by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), construction entities are mandated to install reliable, high quality PM2.5 and PM10 sensors at project sites.

These sensors must be linked to a cloud storage platform with a live dashboard accessible via a web portal, ensuring real-time data availability to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and relevant administrative departments. As a leading construction firm, TATA Realty faced the dual challenge of complying with these stringent pollution control guidelines while integrating green building practices into their design and construction processes.

In addition to that, Tata Realty also had a demand for gas analyser devices to monitor the levels of Gases like SO2, NO2 & CO. Monitoring air quality at construction sites has become quite an imperative. To meet these requirements, TATA Realty deployed Airveda PM2510TH-N-WP-GSM & PM2510Th-cosmoz-n-gsm-eye outdoor air quality monitoring devices across eight construction sites.

Tata Realty requires these devices to provide continuous measurement of critical air quality parameters, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting TATA Realty’s commitment to sustainable building practices.

Solution

Airveda has deployed the PM2510TH-N-WP-GSM & PM2510TH-COZNOZ-N-WP-GSM weatherproof air quality monitor at Tata Realty's construction sites across 8 locations in 6 cities across India. This advanced monitoring station provides real-time measurements of PM concentration, CO, NO2, SO2, Ozone, temperature, humidity and noise levels. The data is securely transmitted to the Airveda cloud through a GSM (4G + m2m sim) connection.

Through the Airveda mobile app available on iOS and Android, as well as a web dashboard, Tata Realty can easily monitor the air quality status.

In addition to these essential features, the air quality monitor offers control outputs for automating multiple anti-smog guns and a buzzer on-site. Tata Realty has the flexibility to program specific PM2.5 and PM10 limits, enabling the anti-smog guns to activate when necessary for dust settlement. Similarly, they can set thresholds for the buzzer to sound, signaling officials on-site to take immediate action if air quality exceeds defined limits
